Brickgo is an environmental-based project that aims to promote plastic waste reduction and recycling among the community in Taman Connaught.
It was founded by a group of undergraduate students from UCSI UniYouth Club who aspire to raise awareness towards the negative impact of plastic pollution on the environment, as well as striving to solve the issue of plastic waste from collecting, recycling, and reusing the waste material.
Step #1 - Plastic Collection
Plastic waste will be collected from Taman Connaught residential and shop lot area.
Step #2 - Cleaning of Plastics
The collected plastic waste will first be cleaned using clean water to ensure there are less impurities, and more importantly, getting a higher quality brick! The plastics will then be cut, processed, and shredded using a shredder.
"A few minutes to wash off your recyclables before you drop them in the bin is an easy way to ensure that they do get reused and repurposed into something good" – Green Matters
Step #3 - Melting the Plastics
Shredded plastics will be melted in a melting furnace with the use of propane gas. This type of gas is considered one of the friendly fuels on Earth. It is non-toxic and does not harm the air, soil, and water. After the melting process, the melted plastics will be poured into the brick mould.
Step #4 - Forming of Brickgo!
Brickgo, which are formed from the brick mould can now be used to construct eco-friendly and functional facilities. Time to use your creativity!

Conclusion
This wraps up the plan of Brickgo with collection, cleaning, shredding, and melting plastics. Do note that this plan is merely a conceptual idea and there will be changes in our processes from time to time. Interested to learn more about plastics? Click here
